FYI - how to prevent pipes from freezing

Just some handy info. as the temperatures drop! One of my neighbors and my husband's office had pipes freeze and burst last weekend.

We needed this last year LOL! luckily for us our plumber who is a friend of ours used a blow torch (not recommended by teh article) to unfreeze our heating pipes!!!!

This might sound funny, but to protect our outside faucets that DH uses for the garden hose, we purchased Thinsulate Faucet socks from Brookstone.com. Every little bit helps!
