FYI: Looking Out for my 08' Girlies

Hey Ladies,

I went to the Wingate Inn tonight in Garden City to look at the guest rooms and the Grand Bridal Suite. They already have quite a few weddings (room blocks) for 2008 (all the way up until October). I met with Makeda, she was very sweet and gave me a tour of the hotel and the facilites where you can host an after party and have brunch. The hotel is VERY NICE, and the Grand Bridal Suite is AMAZING! I know the Wingate is popular especially if your wedding/reception is in Nassau. I blocked 30 rooms and reserved the Grand Bridal Suite, becasue there was already an October 08' wedding booked and I did not want to take any chances becasue our wedding is on a holiday weekend.

I have been looking at some hotels and see that they are booked up already!!! Its shocking, but there arent alot of really nice hotels on long island, if you compare the amount of catering halls to hotels it seems theres way way more catering places.

I am having my wedding at the westbury manor. Are there any hotels near here? I was going to wait to look for hotels but after I read this I think I should look now.
