Went to My Daughters Wedding on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck this morning with my mom, who was dreading looking at dresses (she is plus size and hates the way she looks). I was apprehensive about going here, but we had the BEST experience. The saleswoman Sandy was sooooooo nice and helpful. She really made my mom feel comfortable and showed her a ton of dresses that were flattering/comfortable. My mom was sooo happy with the service, and shes one tough cookie.
The selection of dresses is amazing. They have two sides of the store- the above 2000 side and the below 1000 side. Some of the dresses were outrageously beautiful.
Definately reccommended for the MOB/MOG dress search! Ask for Sandy!

Was your mom able to actually try on the dresses? Both my FMIL and my mom are dreading trying to pick out dresses that are like 4x too small and trying to figure out what they will look like in their sizes!

she had my mom 'front' the dresses to get an idea... the largest sample was a 16, my mom is larger than that. she kinda just put her arms through the sleeve and then the dress fell in front of her so she could get an idea. sandy said that they order the dresses specifically to your measurements.

thanks for the quick reply! i guess it is going to be pretty much the same at every place! i wish there was a place with plus size samples. . .
