I just wanted to update everyone on the WCC questions...
I spoke to Andrew at a food tasting last weekend and told him my concerns about them closing. He said that they are in fact closing, but not until the end of 2009. I think he said they are booking all the way until Jan 2010. Then they are moving so they can expand their property.
I decided to pass on them and booked at East Wind instead, but I wanted to let everyone know this info.
Good thing u updated the ladies who are considering this location. You booked with East Wind I see.. Great location.. which room did you go with??i am just curious..
I'm getting married there this July so if its not until 2010 that makes me feel better....but its not that they are closing, they are just moving to a bigger location right?

I spoke to andrew and they said that they are closing and moving. I booked October 3,2009. at wcc. I decided it would be too close to them closing and they were not giving us a straight answer. I decided to cancel and loose my deposit and go to villa lombaridi's.

Wow, I can't believe they are closing! I am going to a wedding there this August.
I am so upset by this! Our wedding was there a year ago and it was just amazing. The staff was incredibly nice, the food was delicious. I grew up in that area, that place is like a landmark, it has been there forever. My high school reunion was there, that is the reason why we booked our wedding there. We just fell in love with it. If not for the old crochety people who live surrounding the grounds who have complained excessively over the years, I bet they would be staying put. It is such a shame. However, I hope they find beautiful new grounds and their company expands. I would still recommend anyone to book there, I am sure they are handling the situation and will not screw anyone over.
