I am living in Georgia and my fiancee is from New York...Brooklyn to be exact. He has 3 children that live there. I thought it would be easier for the kids to be involved if we had the very small wedding there. But have no idea how to find a good setting for the wedding. I am planning for a fall wedding. Any suggestions? And is it rude of us to only want his children and I to be at the wedding ...make it just a time for a new family to come together?

no. there is nothing wrong with that. in fact, it shows them that you care so deeply about them and want to make this new family work. Congratulations!!!
If you want something for this fall you're going to need to start moving on it. You may have an easier time if you're doing something small to look into some really nice restaurants. As for including the family, you have just the right attitude about it. You and your FH are joining two families and after your committment to each other, that is the next most important thing. I don't know how old his children are, but you may even consider doing a destination wedding.
