Gaining Weight

Gaining Weight

I wake up every morning swearing that I have gained another ten pounds. Does anyone else feel like that? I know gaining weight is healthy for the baby considering I started out under weight, but some days it is hard to deal with every expanding wasteline and butt. :)

This all stems from one of my FH friends saying that I am looking 'round' lately. My hormones make me so touchy it is not even funny.

Thanks for letting me share. I think i just needed to vent.

Don't worry! I gained 50 lbs so far and I feel great! I am still walking 4 times for about an hour each week...

Re: Gaining Weight

Some mornings I feel the way you do.

Some days it is a delicate balance regarding gaining weight. I keep reminding myself that as I gain weight it means the baby is growing and getting stronger. I also try to eat healthy choices - when I eat junk I tend to feel more bloated.

i felt that way at times. it is just that you are not used to seeing your body in this new way.

I feel the same way. I swear the baby is growing in my butt! I avoid scales at all cost. Except for tonight when I will be forced to be weighed at the drs and that scale makes me weigh more!!!! Don't listen to people who tell you you look 'round'! I am sure you look great!

I feel very self conscience at times especially about getting my picture taken. My face got so chubby and the closer I get to my EDD, the bigger I am. My hands and feet are so swollen.

Re: Gaining Weight

I'm up 33 lbs. with 10 weeks to go and I'm just starting to feel a bit self conscious about how I look. All in all though I think I'm carrying pretty well.
I actually enjoy my belly. I can't wait to get back into my old clothes again, but I'm definately trying to really embrace this time in my life, weight gain and all.

I think people should keep comments to themselves. Like WOW your boobs are really big or that your look round. Enjoy this time.....

I was called 'fatty' today at work. Good thing I have a good sense of humor and can laugh about it around people.... but at home, I find myself bothered by how big I look already at only 3 months. UGH!

I think I look the best and healthiest I've ever been, so I poo-poo anyone who has anything negative to say. MY DH said to me he other day that I looked amazing for 7 months pregnant and he would have me like this any time God I love that man

Re: Gaining Weight

I am finding it hard dealing with gaining weight at times, sometimes I am very happy with my new round look, othertimes I wonder if I will ever get my figure back. The main thing to keep in mind is that your body will do what it needs to do in order to have a healthy baby. If that means getting a few more dimples on your butt and dealing with a DD chest, so be it.
