Does anyone know why in the rap videos that they can send up gang signs and get away with it?

My guess is that the executives at the record companies and MTV don't have a clue what they mean and they are afraid of saying anything for fear of being called racist or narrow-minded.

Money talks. As long as the videos draw viewers, and the albums sell, that's all they care about in my opinion.
