Gantry Park (same as 09 board)

Did anyone get a permit for photos there?

If so, how far before the wedding, what was the cost and who did you contact for the permit?

I believe Denise (Espo22) had her wedding pics taken there.

well some until we got kicked out for not having a permit lol which is BS considering i took epics there and they saw me and didnt say a word but they said if you have a wedding dress on you need a permit so yeah i def recommend getting one.

Its kind of new also that they started this, the year before i saw pics of lots of brides and they were allowed, even my photographer took so many brides there but they told me this was a new rule

Thanks Denise. I am going to look into getting a permit - ahh - the rule probably has to do with the city wanting $$$

I called today about a permit. It's $130 to take pictures here.

just go down a few blocks to 5 pointz, that is free and dont need a permit

I am not familiar with 5 pointz. Do you just take pics outside the building? Is there someplace inside?

well in my pro pics if you look, i have a ton of pics by graffiti walls and thats 5 pointz. No there is no inside. But then again Gantry has no inside area either.

Are they crazy $130 to take pictures of something our tax dollars pay for ***! Is it like a tax right off!

I can understand Central Park being expensive but Gantry park!! My dad was explaining to me that City parks are cheaper and that State parks are more expensive b.c they have State troppers and they are closed by dusk!
