Garden centerpieces

Garden centerpieces

Does anyone have pics of garden style centerpieces? So far I bought lanterns, moss and rocks. I am wondering what to add or if that is enough.

That sounds so nice!! I would check Martha Stewart's website... I've seen things like that in her mags before

Do you want garden themed? Trying to narrow it down. Like waterings cans and galvanised buckets filled with flowers? Mason jars tied with ribbons and bunches of flowers? Let me know. I know I have pics around somewhere.

Great garden wedding ideas here

Re: Garden centerpieces

Right now I have the lanterns with moss and rocks for my engagement party. I am looking more into the garden theme for my wedding. I want to add onto what I have.

Btw- You have great ideas for every theme. Thank you for being such a big help!

Re: Garden centerpieces

I try! LOL I wanted to do several themes in beginning so gathered tons of stuff and endd up not using half. Also my Best friend is getting married 2 1/2 weeks after me soooo more stuff! I'll see what i have. One idea we thought to use for CP was taking the waterings cans and filling with flowers. There is a beautiful birdcage CP in this book called, 'THE PERFECT WEDDING DETAILS' You can get it from the New York public library or look on amazon. I reccomend it. BEAUTIFUl and doable ideas. Basically it was a painted cage with grass, daffodils and fake butterflies inside. SOOOO pretty.

Seed packets also make great garden wedding favors. You can buy em super cheap in Ddollar stores like DOLLARTREE for like 10 cents a pop. Wrap two in a pretty organza bag (again dollar tree) and attach a little note that says something like 'Love blossoms when it is cared for.'

Mm one last idea-instead of using flowers, you can buy potted plants at Home Depot for cheap and then transfer them to prettier pots. Sprinkle candles around or low bowls with flower petals and heads in them.

If you ever need anything, feel free to FM me. Good luck!

I was actually thinking of doing seed favors since we are doing a donation. I was going to make them seeds to plant in memory of FH's mom.

You could also buy silk butterflies/dragonflies to insert into these kinds of arrangements. I think yuo had a dragonfly theme right?

Interesting link for DIY mason jar centerpieces with adaptations.

The seed favors as a donation are a nice idea as a memory. It is sentimental and when people see the flowers grow, its a nice way to remember the day.

Those watering cans are so pretty. I actually saw some galvanized copper ones at AC Moore that match my lanterns!

Did you happen to see dragonflies anywhere that I can add to the lantern centerpieces? I can only find butterflies.

this is a good thread.. I just started looking online for these buckets.. you can find them quite cheap.. I might even decorate the bucket with some type of design.. check out my reception album for details on photos I found..

Re: Garden centerpieces

Glad its helping, vintage. LOVE the galvanized buckets and watering cans. I really wanted to do that for our wedding because I wanted a garden theme, but we didnt because we werent sure how to arrange the flowers-was afraid it would look bad. Now I regret not going with my gut, but cest la vie.

Jess, found some dragonflies but not sure of prices because its in the UK....bah! Nice stuff though...

Re: Garden centerpieces

I love this theme! I would like a garden theme at my wedding too, but don't think it goes with the dining room. I am using the lanterns for the courtyard and cocktail hour. Maybe I can use the buckets and watering cans too.

Re: Garden centerpieces

Ah ha! Ebay is our friend!

I did a search on dragonfly then clicked mmm Craft wholesale lots and found this-ends in a day.

EBAY dragonflies!

These are pins and jewelry-just thought some were interesting.

ebay drgonfly pins

I used to work for this craaaaazy guy-real estae broker...OYE! He was sooo cheap (paid me obscenely low) and always had me hunting online for the best price for some crazy requests like a belly chain for his 65 year old wife.... She was the young one in their relationship! LOL

Needless to say, I got pretty good at research. Enjoy it a lot better now that its for wedding stuff and not a microwave!
