Right on the corner of Stewart and Hilton Ave. Has anyone ever taken their pictures there? If so, do they recommend it.

We took our e-pics and wedding formals there...very nice, easy to get to, free. Will know more detail once I see my proofs...

Behind the hotel at the Gazebo? My sister had photos taken there and they came out beautiful.

Yes, right next to the Fire Station. I hope I don't need a permit. I went to look at the site yesterday and there was a concert going on. Imagine I show up on the day of, with my entourage to take pictures and there's a concert or show going on

I grew up In Garden City, and there are concerts in the gazebo a lot during the summer - I would call the town and check before you plan on going there!

Just an FYI... I don't think it's free anymore. You will need to call the town and ask.

I was just there less than 2 months ago (heehee!) and it was totally free.

I grew in GC also. There is always at least one wedding there, sometimes more on nice days. you may have to share the space..

Technically, I think you need a permit, but I am not sure how many people actually get one and whether or not they check for it.

I know there's a flyer up all over GC at the street corners, etc. showing when the concerts are for this summer!

Re: Garden City Park
Like I said before...we took our e-pics there as well as our formals for the wedding. So the day of my wedding there was at least 20 people on the grounds...no permit needed.
My photographer uses that location A LOT and goes without a permit all the time...you're in there pretty fast and are just taking pictures.
Although, for sanity's sake, it can't hurt to ask the town.
Remember to breathe!

I grew up and live in GC - you don't need a permit but don't be surprised if you have 2-3 bridal parties there at the same time taking photos
