gargage doors?

We found out the hard way that our garage door needed to be replaced .. we were changing out the garage door opener .. and when the guy came to do the installation .. he told us it was the door that caused the opener to malfunction .. (the previous homeowner sided over the wood door .. and the door rotted .. etc) anyway .. long story short .. he could not do the new opener until we replaced the door .. which he came back and did the following week or so .. I think the door we chose for our 1-car garage was $500 .. it was the cheapest choice .. it does not have any windows .. and is a pretty typical door that I've seen on a lot of houses.

Just wanted to add: we also learned that when you replace the door, you need to replace the tracks the door rides along.
