I made a dish last night with garlic and my hands still smell. Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell?

Ugggghhhh- I hate that too!!! As silly as it sounds, they say to rub you fingers on something made of stainless steel (like your sink) but I think the trick is to do it BEFORE the garlic really gets into your skin. They sell these stainless steel 'egg' things to keep in your kitchen in stores like BB & B to use after you cut garlic, maybe pick one up. I heard lemon juice works too, again, this might be a preventative.

I would say lemon juice. I hate that too. It gets in between your nails.

There is a bar of soap they sell that's made of stainless steal. It's supposed to get rid of the garlic and onion scent left on your hands. Lemon juice is also said to work good.

Re: Garlic Smell
Thank you very much for the suggestions. I am going to look for that bar for the next time I use garlic.
