I'm getting a custom garter and need to measure my leg... one problem - where do i measure? bottom? middle? I have no clue!!!

I just got my garter in the mail....without measuring anything, but generally speaking, from what I've seen, girls tend to wear just a little above the knee. This is how I'll be wearing mine
Stand up straight, and I think it should be right around where your fingertips touch your leg...
