So is a garter and throwing garter really necessary? Can you do one and not the other??
I am so confused what to do with garters...We arent going to do a garter toss, bc almost all of our friends and family are married/in serious relationships/engaged, so I have no idea what to do about this....Any opinions or thoughts?? If you think it is a good idea, can you name someone to get a custom garter from (if you know of anyone)?

Re: Garter questions
I'm not doing a garter toss nor a bo-k toss....I think you can do whatever you want, a lot of girls have been switching it up.

Re: Garter questions
A lot of people do an 'anniversary' dance now. They have all the married couples start dancing and then the dj/mc starts saying to move off the dance floor unless you've been married 3, 5, 10, 15 , 20, etc. years. Then the bo-k goes to the couple that has been married the youngest. It's really cute. When I saw this done at a wedding, the groom's grandparents were the ones that won.

Re: Garter questions
Thanks mucho!! We are doing the anniversary dance instead of the garter toss, I already know that my grandparents will be the ones to get it lol...And Christine, I contacted Eva about 2 weeks ago about making a garter set for me. I cost ALOT more than what I wanted to spend...
It's not necessary to have a toss garter if your not doing the garter toss, right?

Re: Garter questions
we're doing the anniversary dance instead as well. i heard of putting the toss away gater around a bottle of wine and giving the wine to the couple married the longest along with the toss away bo-k

Re: Garter questions
we will not be doing a garter toss. i just don't like the idea of FH going up my dress in front of everyone we know.
however, my mom says that its the MOHs responsibility to purchase a garter for the bride. (i have no idea where she came up with this one) so my sister will be buying me a garter & i will be wearing it but just as a tradition.

You don't have to do the garter toss and I have been to a wedding where they have done one but nit the other!

Re: Garter questions
I'm only wearing it for tradition. No garter toss for me! I do not think you need a 'toss garter' unless you plan on giving it away to someone.
