Hey Everyone !!! I hope everyone can help. I know that there are other threads for this but I'm really looking for information about Video/Photographers. I'm in the process of starting to find a vendor for this. Please post who are you using for vendor/photography and their contact information if you have available. Please also post the range that you are paying. It doesn't have to be exact but this will give me an idea if it's worth for me to be contacting that specific vendor. I hate wasting people's time and mine as well. I just want to get an idea as I start my search. I will probably post something on the Vendor's as well but would like to hear your feedback. Any details is much appreciated(how many proofs, album etc). Thanks in advance to all of you that are posting away !!!

Prices vary, but approx 1800 for pics and 1600 for video i think ?

I am using Spotlite Photo and Video from Regal Bridal in Lynbrook.

We are using the same, but about $2200 for photography (two photographers) and $2200 for video. :)

We are using Artisan for both, they are a vendor here. Chuck is an amazing guy, we fel like we had known him forever when we met him. We are paying about $6000 for both photo and video.

My budget was $1200 for video and $2500 for photo. I went with Duet and for $3699 they give you two photographers. Both carry B&W and color camera (one I think is digital). Im trying to remember off hand all the things it comes with, but if I forget anything the package is listed on the official duet thread. They take between 400-600 pics (I think) album comes with 40 pics (I think). It comes with 2 parents albums, 75 thank yous, a portrait sized pic, and a couple of other freebies. The video is a chaptered DVD that I believe is about an hour long. We also got 2 DVD's thrown in to the package, but I think that's customary.

Jovon had photojournalist, main photographer, and asst - had 89 pictures in album along with enlargements, had engagement shoot in NYC and got all proofs (which are 4x6 pictures) from engagement and wedding - spent approx $5000
Wild Rose they have different packages, I think mine was about $2,000. Marie and Bill are awesome!! Definitely call them!

We looked around a lot, so I can tell you the packages we have seen!
Mark Kaufman is VERY expsensive, but does awesome photojournalistic work. His basic package with two photographers, no albums starts at 2500. Including albums they go up to 5,000.
VIP in my opinion did just OK work. The guy that I spoke with was kind of dodging my questions and never really giving me a set answer. And- he makes you pay 195 for your negitives, which in my opinion is crazy. His packages started at I think 1900 and went up to 5k. They also do video, but it was shaky and bad.
Twelfth night is the best one that we have seen so far. Dominic is very down to earth and easy to talk to. The only thing is that they don't include albums or pictures in their packages (only proofs) but they will do albums for you. They do that to bring the price down and because most of the pictures that are ususally included with packages (8 by10, ect) you have been charged extra for, and he feels you could do it yourself! Which you can! He showed us great examples of people that have used him and then made thank you cards, engagement announcements, etc. I really liked his honesty. His packages started at only 375 for two hours coverage, to 1350 for 10 hours (one photographer). He takes pictures with color and BW, and also uses two cameras- digital and regular. You get all your proofs from the regular camera AND the negitives. All the digital pictures he will put on a Cd with a slide show set to music:) We are going to do the higher end package and add on an extra photographer, so we will pay about 2000.
