ARGH! There is a woman in my cafeteria who keps commenting on how HUGE I'm getting and everyday I look bigger than the day before. She is the ONLY person who has said something like this to me - everyone tells me it looks like I'm having a boy, she says, 'you are definitely having a girl - I know because I have two'. So today she comments again on how big I am so I told her, actually, I'm measuring 2/1/2 weeks behind and I've only gained 16 pounds...so SHUT UP ALREADY!!! Okay, I didn't actually say that last part, but I wanted to. Don't people realize they are not making the pregnant person feel any better?? I work out 3 -4x a week, watch what I eat and for the most part think I look pretty cute. I cannot stand this woman!!!!
ETA: sorry, I just had to vent. Now I feel better.

For some reason seeing a pregnant belly makes people think they suddenly have a license to comment on anything and everything about your body. It really amazes me because these people would never say these things if you weren't pregnant.
The only appropriate comment to a pregnant woman, IMO, is 'you are carrying beautifully'

I think people just speak without ever thinking before hand. I don't know why people feel the need to tell us PG women how big we're going to get or have all readdy gotten. I know i am growing no one has to remind me. Try to ignore them or come back with a strange comment that usually shuts them up. Keep smiling it is all worth it in the end. Best of luck.

I remember that... glad I don't work anymore!!! There was a woman who was bigger than me and I was preggo... and she used to pretend to waddle down the hall if we were passing each other in the hall. I wanted to scream- I am preggo, what is your excuse???? GRRR. (And, I am not a small person to begin with)

i remember those stuiped comments. people just dont think. i had some women who i never met before tell me to turn around and when i did she said 'girl because i was wide' hello i dont know you. you never saw me before! and i had a boy!!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I have someone at my school who does that to me too! She's so annoying!!! I wonder if I was heavy to begin with, would she still make fun of my weight then??? I don't think so.
People like that can make you so frustrated!! The other day I snapped at her and said...so, when are you going to say something new??? I hear this every day...enough already!!
Sometimes...people need to be put in their place!

Everyone says to me 'you look great you're really starting to show...' WELL, I went to lunch with my girlfriend last week and she says 'you don't look that pregnant yet, just a little bit fat.'
NICE!! I was PO'd!! I almost left her right at the restaurant. All I could think of to say was 'you're the only one that said something like that. Everyone else thinks I look PG.'

Ugh I remember when I was pg all the comments I would get I finally just told a co worker of mine I know how big I am getting its only my belly I haven't gained that much weight so its all baby. I said some other things as well. She just kept comparing my pregnancy to her three. I hated it. I felt bad about it but hey its hormones I did appoligize the next day but she stopped making her comments
