Re: geico

I just got rearended by a driver that has Geico. In NY, if you hit someone in the rear, you are 100% at fault. But, even so, some insurance companies give a hard time. Not Geico! I called them and they conceded 100% liability on the phone 2 hours after the accident, set me up to bring my car into a shop first thing in the morning on Monday (this was late Friday night). Then, on Monday, the shop gave me a rental car for the entire time they were fixing my car. It took them 3 days and my car was in perfect shape - good as new. If they took care of me that well and I wasn't even their insured, I'm sure that you have nothing to worry about!

I've used Geico since 1997 and am very happy with them! I've had 2 broken windshields due to rocks and they were wonderful in getting them fixed & paying for it without rate increases!

I agree. Geico is def. the right insurance to go with. I only pay $189 for 6mths vs the $1000 I was paying with my previous insurance company.

Also very good with Roadside Assistance. You can add it on to your policy and pay a little extra. Used it he other day for a blow out .. .really good.

I would just be a bit careful. I was all happy with Geico and their customer service (had 2 windshields replaced) until I got into an accident about a year ago. The way they settled the claim I really felt they didn't look out for my best interests. In my opinion they bent over and took it from the other persons insurance company. As soon as the accident is off my record i will be switching insurance companies.

I'm glad you're all having a good experience with Geico. I've known a few people however who have gotten pretty screwed by them. They had accidents and were found to be at fault. Geico paid the claims with no problems, but then dropped their policies. From what I've heard they drop people who become bad statistics and that's how the rates are so low. Unfortunately for my friends though, it was really hard to get new insurance after another company terminated their policy.

I was in a terrible accident about 5 years ago and my car was totalled along with the other drivers car. Geico was WONDERFUL! They were quick and on my side 100%. In fact they gave me MORE than the blue book value and after I called to say I had just gotten new tires one week before the accident they reinbursed me for those as well!! I have been with them since and my insurance with them went up $200 a years from the accident but is now back down to normal! I LOVE GEICO! :) :)

Re: geico

DH has always used Geico and we're in the process of switching my insurance to his right now. I went on their website and got a quote for adding me as a driver and my car. They automatically added me as a driver because it brings his insurance down now that we're married. And to add my car, it will save us some money each month. And I have 2 accidents on my record, one my fault, and a major speeding ticket. No problems at all!

I have Geico and the first night I switched to them a few hours later I hit a deer in the road. They covered everything with no questions asked. They definitely are a reliable company.

I used to work for Geico in claims and my DH works for them now... he is an auto damage adjuster for them.... funny reading all of this. I have State Farm though haha. I must say... working for them is a pain in the a$$! We don't have the same reaction to all the commercials as most other people do lol

I work for GEICO..i have worked there for almost 5 years.

I have GEICO insurance and I do get a good discount

on the other hand I have worked the claims aspect and alot of people believe that GEICO is the one to blame for rates going high and dropped policies

GEICO is a great company!!!! You made a wonderful choice
