Gel or Silk Wrap

Which is better for your nails. I have to get tips put on but not sure which to get.

I got silk tips - permanent french. To tell you the truth, the nails look and feel the same as the usual acrylic tips.

UV gel!!!!! It is the most natural looking and long lasting of all!!! As long as they are done by someone good. I have the type of nails that nothing would adhere to. FOr years I have spent so much money on them only to have them lift or break etc. I found uv gel and it is AWESOME. I wouldn't have to go for a fill for about 3 weeks. My friend goes for a month or 5 weeks. So in reality they might be more expensive but work out better in the long run.

My friend get gel and they look soooo natural, i say go for the gel!!!

I got UV gel and they look so natural and they don't chip. After 3 weeks they are still going strong. I got loads of compliments.

I used to go to a place on old country road. I live in Queens but the place in bayside called the nail and foot spa i really the best place my friends and I have found from trying out different places. I posted this the other day also. The best girl to go to is Niki and the number is 718.463.2433
I don't know where you are in nassau but it's not too far a drive for a great job. It is really only 10 minutes away from the queens nassau border.

Hopefully one of the other gals can recommend somewhere closer to you.

I agree....I also like the UV gel. Very natural looking.

I'm soooooooooo not a nail person. Not very dainty and all that but I hated how my real nails kept breaking all the time. So, I went to this place in Massapequa and got UV gel pink and white acryllic. They look 100% natural ( I keep them semi short still) and last me for weeks without needing anything filled. It's a small shop-only 2 people work there, so I would suggest making appt but they are seriously great. FM if you want info.

I get silk...my nails aren't shot when I take them off (like acrylic did)....I got gel and they broke ALL the time...

My nails were the same way.... god only knows how much i spent on nails my whole life..... now with the UV Gel... i am going on 3 weeks, and it still looks great... I am so going to push 4 with no problems what so ever!

I've always had silk with permanent french and loved it but I just took them off for a little while. I'll put them back on when the wedding is closer.
