Gennaro's Catering in Brooklyn

Had my engagement party there. FOOD WAS GREAT.

Had our Sorority Formal there two year's ago. Food's fantastic, price is great, and Frank is also great to deal with!

There are also a lot of local political events that are held there - in both rooms, the one downstairs and upstairs.

Their wedding packages are VERY reasonable.

My personal reason's in NOT booking:

1) I didn't want to be in that area, there was no sceneary around there. You walk out of the hall, and it's 13th Avenue...nothing else. I wanted something with gardens, allowing the option of guests to sit outside, or for us to take pictures there.

2) I wanted something with a 'Garden' feel to it...since we couldn't afford the Brooklyn Botanical Garden Palm House b/c of price, we went to Fox Hollow and fell in love with the Winter Garden Room which had a greenhouse effect to it.

3) Gennaro's has pretty modern decor to it, but not what we wre looking for. FI and I said 'No mirrors, no black & gold contrast, and no chandeliers.'....
