George Steinbrenner is an A$$

I am so glad that Joe Torre told that bunch of jacka$$ executives where to stick it and left with his dignity instead of accepting a slap-in-the-face contract that basically said, you didn't win so you're not worth as much to us anymore. I can't believe he's leaving and it makes me so sad, but it's just appalling the way he's been treated. They risk losing a lot of players over this. I just hope that they will end up taking some time to get some young unknown talent and rebuild the team, maybe miss the playoffs for a year or 2 and work on making a cohesive team that plays to win, but not roll over on command! Aaaaaaahhh I hate that man!!!!

i thought so too but i was talking to my dad about it and he said that he was offered 5 million for next year and although that is 2 mil less then he was getting they offered him an additional 1 mi if he gotto the playoffs and 1 more if they get to world series. that doesnt seem that bad since Torre hasnt been getting them to the world series the past few years.

Yes he is... JT will be fine though, he did the right thing IMO.
Also, someone needs to tell Derek he can call/FM me if he wants to vent/cry. I am a VERY good listener...
