George Wash. Manor review

I threw my Dad a surprise 60th bday party last night at the George Washington Manor. There were only 14 of us, but I figured I could help some GWM brides to be out there. Everything was terrific!!! First of all the staff were so nice and pleasant the entire time from start to finish in the planning and organizing of this event. The waiter and bartender we has assigned to us were both sooooo nice and funny and friendly to everyone at the party. I had left them instructions too as to how I wanted the favors and menus etc, and it was all followed to a T. The food was excellent, we had chicken marsala that I had which was sooooo good and I heard the sole and beef were amazing as well. Everyone had a clean plate at the end of that meal. The only thing I was not happy about was that my Dads cake was suppose to be decorated in a nautical theme to match my invites, menus and favors...yet when they called me over to look at the cake it was done in blue and green flowers. I had the BM look at my contract and he said yes he had made a mistake....I was really looking foward to seeing that cake though. But that was the only thing to go wrong the entire night. Everyone was complimenting on the rooms and the staff, etc to me all night long. So any GWM brides out there I would say you will be in good hands. There was actual a wedding going on last night there and at the end of my party some of my relatives looked like they wanted to start my wedding early and go inside to dance LOL. oh PS they make the drinks REALLY strong, after like 2 drinks each my FH and I were wrecked it was sooooo funny

PS about the cake thing I was told my the BM last night that the BM I booked the party with would call me today. I am not sure what she will do, but if anyone really wants to know I can update this later when she calls back.
