I would like some info about the GWM. I understand it fits about 150. I think that is a great size for us. I was wondering if it holds more then one party at a time?
Also: Does anyone know if they have a web site? I want to see pictures.
thanks

Re: George washington Manor
Hmmm, I've seen their bigger room which is beautiful, but I would imagine it'd be cramped with 150 people. Maybe they set it up so it's not? I don't know.
I wanted to add that it is not a really fancy schmancy place, but more of a low-key comfortable feel. And the bridal suite I saw was really small which I had a problem with, so don't expect your whole bridal party to fit in there. The reception room was very pretty though.

Re: George washington Manor
I loved the GWM but we were a little too big I would recommend under 150 in that room It overlooks a small lake and many places for pictures. It only has one affair at a time. Owned by the .......oh man what is the name of that place! It is one rt 110 on the east side! One of their rooms is called the cottage
anyway, GWM definitely go and check it out.

That place is very pretty. We almost booked there. It's the same owners as the Milleridge Inn. I love all the ladies there-they are so nice. BUT there is no way 150 people fit in that room--it will be extremely uncomfortable. They don't have two weddigns going on-but sometimes after you are already in your reception they will have an affair-like a shower or something in the presidential room--the one that is usually the cocktail hour room. It is really quaint but it's small and I wouldn't do more than 100/115 in there--and don't go for the 'oh you can rent the side room off the main room for the spill over' it's not worth it and it totally splits up the party. anyway-it's a beautiful place, just not condusive (sp?) to more than 100 or so people.

Re: George washington Manor
GWM was my second choice and I loved it there. I definately do not think that 150 could fit into that room comfortably. I would say about 100 to 115 would be ideal.

I'm getting married there, and I love it (obviously), but there is no way you can fit 150 in the room. They sometimes do more than one party (not two weddings, but maybe one wedding and a party) at a time, and it is also a restaurant, so if you're looking for a one wedding at a time place that holds 150, it's not for you. Maybe check out Stewart Manor Country Club?

Just wanted to add, they don't have a website that I know of, but there is a little info about it on Wedding Facilities and Services
