George Washington Manor

Anyone had a wedding at George Washington Manor - Mt. Vernon Room? How is the food and service?

I haven't been there myself, but my mom's best friend's daughter got married there a couple years ago and she said that the room was beautiful! She also said that the food was delicious and it was some of the best wedding food she's had. They had a cocktail type reception, which my mom thought was really nice and different. Hope that helps!

both my brother and sister got married there and we also threw my parents a surprise anniversary party there. The people are so nice to deal with, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I would highly rec. them to anyone. I wanted to venture out a bit, that's why I did not go there, I hope I made the right decision! Good Luck!

I wasn't there for a wedding but some kind of party a few years ago. the food was beyond amazing. we're having our after wedding brunch there most likely. it's great all the rooms just go by how many people you have. most places charge extra for a better room, they don't. they were so nice there too. I hope my girls plan to have my shower there also, it's sucha cute place.

I went to a wedding there about 2 years ago. It was in the big room (can't remember the name). The problem we found though, was that we were too cramped in the cocktail hour space and we didn't even realize that there was food being served. Once we got upstairs into the reception room, it was nice though. But we decided not to go with them b/c of all the stairs and the small cocktail hour space.

We had our rehearsal dinner there, as well as a brunch the next morning. Both were excellent and the service was really nop notch. You have nothing to worry about-

I'm having my wedding there! I love it!! The food was really delicious when we went for a tasting. They are very accomodating w/ the menu. They can adjust it to your tastes. The room is gorgeous as well. Things I like were that centerpieces and candles were included, and you get appetizer, salad, entree, dessert, wedding cake, plus each table gets a tray of nice cookies. We are getting married in the chapel and upstairs from the chapel is a HUGE bridal suite w/ couches, mirrors, big bathroom etc. for you to dress, do your hair and get make up done. FM me if you have any questions.
