Hi All, Has anyone been to/seen/had wedding at George Washington Manor? It looks beautiful and wondering if it is worth it for me to push for the meeting...

Re: George Washington Manor
I haven't been there for a wedding, but I went to a Christening there, and we had a surprise birthday party for my Dad there a few years ago. The service is great, the room is very pretty, but I think it's better for smaller weddings. We almost had my shower there, and they told us they are under new ownership, and the menu looked ten times better than when we had my Dad's party there. If you go, ask to work with Judy, she's very nice and helpful!

There are pictures in my RH's I visited album. It is a nice place with a very good menu and reasonable prices. On the con side, I didn't like the indoor ceremony area and the fact that there is no real outdoor area to take pictures.

How many weddings does Westbury Manor have at one time?

2 at a time. However, my wedding is on a Thursday night and I'm the only event there at that time

this was my second choice for a RH. i LOVE it. we were slightly too big for the space (and are having a 9 piece band) and the cocktail room wasn't ideal for us for December. If you can use the outdoor cocktail space (which has an awning), its great! WORK WITH JUDY! she is great!

Yes, we are looking for one wedding at a time, I hate to sound caddy but I do NOT want to see other brides that day or parties - I'll be worried I did something wrong, or should have done it that way, or lookign at the bride pissed I didn't look as good as her... LOL!

We had our reception there.
We had about 100 guests.
We had the reception on the first floor, in the Presidential Room. There was more than enough room.
Everyone liked the room and the food.

Re: George Washington Manor
I looked there for my wedding but it was a little too small. The place is really nice the one thing that bothered me is the pond pictured on their website in more like an overgrown swamp. ... But Gerry park is right down the road to take pics outside.

Re: George Washington Manor
A good friend of ours got married there 2 years ago-she had a small wedding max 25 people. She only used them for the reception; it was very nice. Thought the food was good-think i had a roast beef or some sort of beef. THey were on a tight budget; and it seemed to really work for them. They only had 1 bartendar; and the bottles were set up on a table in front of the Ch food (just small appetizers, cheeses & fruits).
