George washington manor and invitation to dance review
Last night I went to a wedding at the George washington manor.....
Cocktail was in a cozy room with a fireplace and pics of old presidents on the walls, very nice ambiance. There wasnt enough seating for everyone which II never like eating standing up but the food was good. Dont know if they ever have music in the room but I think that would have been better.
Reception room was small yet cozy with all windows to make it feel like it was more open. Granted it is january but the room was frigid!! Also there were about 5 people trying to sit at our table and the next table over was empty because they screwed up the seating but it all worked out fine.
The food was very good, I had the chateau briand and Fh had the chicken marsala. Service was ok they came around during dinner to ask how everything was but never asked me if i wanted a drink or anything, i got them myself.
Overall I think the place was very nice.
Dont know who the other vendors were but invitation to dance were the Djs, i dont think they really got the crowd going that great and the music wasnt much in the way of variety but you never know it this was the coupes choice. The cd skipped during the mother son dance and i thought they handles the situation very smoothly.
