GEORGETTES IN HICKSVILLE

Hey well i just went there and I found out I am the wrong bra size. I had been wearing a 36B but they told me I'm actually a 34D! How could this be?? Are their bras different???

When I went there a while ago I was also wearing the wrong size bra...

Once they measure you they should know...
It is amazig how much of a diff it can be!

the same thing happened to me & my mom & my 2 sisters when we went there.

I was wearing 38C, she told me i should be wearing a 36DD - Same for my mother.

My younger sister is only 16, very small waist but also very curvy ( I remember when I used to be like that in High School) She was wearing a 34C they told her she should be wearing a 32DD!!!

And my older sister is alsocurvy & very busty on top. She was wearing 34DD & they told he she should be wearing 34DDD!!!!!!

But honestly the new bra sizes actually fit us very well & we all feel like it was a good choice to get fitted there.

ETA: Alot of women wear the wrong bra size. it is very common to see this. Oprah did a special on this once.

They told me I was wearing the wrong size too!!!!!!! I didn't mind though because they told me that I was bigger than I thought I was...hehehe

How was the service at Georgette's? I need to get fitted and purchase my long line bra for my first fitting Tuesday. Were they nice people? I hate giving my money to nasty salespeople!

Yes the lady i had was very nice. It was a little shop, nothing fancy and an older woman...looked like she was maybe 65-70 took my measurements and then brought one right too me. She was very attentive and nice. I would go there again.

The service was great. The price is reasonable and Georgette is sweet. She will personally measure you. Just like other ladies comment, expect for her to say 'you are wearing a wrong bra size' (i thought i was 34B but after seeing her, i'm now 34C).

ETA: perhaps i should be precise when i said 'measure you personally' which means that since Georgette is the owner she will measure you, and give you a comfortable bra that fits your body well. All I can say is, I like my new size (and bra)

It's not only about being measured but being fitted properly for the bra.

Being Measured really doesn't mean anything, it give you the ballpark you should be in, because all manufacturer's run differently depending where they are made and the style they cut.

You can be a C in one brand and a D in another.

85% of women are wearing the wrong size bra because most women go into a department store and just grab something off the rack and say this is ok! There are certain styles to complement certain body types. Not every woman should be wearing a Victoria Secret bra either! (btw they are a horrible make of a brand.. sorry I just had to put that in there)

Georgette does not only measure you, she also fits you for the right bra. She will bring you the size that you should be wering & if it does not fit well she will try different brands & maybe even a different size until she find the bra that supports you & fits you the best.

When she was fitting me for my long line bra we tried several brands to get the perfect fit. The same size in different brand bra did not fot me correctly so she gave me another one to try & it fit perfectly so I bought it.

Love this place. I've been shopping at Georgette's for years for bra's. When I first went to them I was also wearing the wrong size.
