ANyone have it or have had it? I am gong for the 5 hour glucose test tomorow because the DR thinks I am hypoglacemic and they feel it may turn the other way~towards diabetes. How do they deal with this while you are pregnant?
Ive never had it but I think they either give you a restricted diet, injections to take or refer you to a nutritionist. I hope it all turns out ok!!!

I went for the 5 hour test yesterday and came home with 7 shots in 6.5 hours in one arm and one incomplete blood sample from the other. That vein almost collapsed. I became so naseaus that I still couldn't eat this morning. It was horrible. I think I sicker yesterday than I have been through the entire pregnancy. And now I have to wait until Monday for the results. Either way, if it's Hypoglycemia, there is nothing really that can do. It's just confirming that I am not crazy and giving me a reason for dizziness and passsing out.
I had GD and was on 4 shots per day, plus 4 finger tests per day plus a restricted diet. I have the name of a very good nutritionist and endo if you need one. Ask me any questions.
