Get ready at home or hotel

Get ready at home or hotel

I live 1/2 hr. to 45 min from ceremony location. Should I get ready at home (we're new homeowners-but house needs some work) or should I get a room at GC hotel and get ready there? ?That's a 15-20 min. commute. FH wants me in a hotel because I am always late...and I mean always-but I told him I am not in control that day-that's what the vendors are there for-we will have a timeline-but then again the house needs work-but it is OURS

I live a good 30-40min away from my venue but I have decided it would be less stressful for me to get ready at home. Only because I know all my bridal stuff will be there.

I live about 30-40 mins from the ceremony location and am getting ready at home (my mother wouldn't have it any other way LOL). For me, I think I will be more comfortable & relaxed at home.

I'm getting ready at the hotel... but it's up to you. Since we're staying at the hotel that night it's easier so I'll have all my stuff there rather than pack up the car after I get ready and check into the hotel.

I got ready at the hotel that we were spending the night of the wedding in. It was much closer to where I was getting my hair done and closer to the church. My parents live in a smaller co-op and it just wasn't going to be easy for everyone to get ready there, so we did the hotel thing. Good luck with your decision.

Since I only live about 10 minutes away from the church, I'm getting ready at home. I figured all my stuff will be there and I would be more comfortable.

I lived 5 min from my church, btu decided to get ready at the Wingate in Garden City. I decided this b/c I wanted to have room for myself and the 5 other girls getting their hair done w/ me. I live in an apt, and though we could have moved things around to make room, we also had my brother adn 5 1/2 yr old nephew at home. Ended up DH went to my apt the day of the wedding to help my brother with some things....if I were there, he would have seen me!

I think that is a very good point. Knowing me I probably would have forgotten something.

In my opinion, I would get ready at home.

Thxs ladies!!! I am going to do some more thinking about it-I am comfortable in my home and it's probably easier for the kids to be at home-and god forbid I forgot something!!!!! I just don't want to be doing other crap while I'm getting ready and I'll have to tell the photog no paneling pics.

I live across the street from my church and I'm getting dress at a hotel. I want my bridal party with my the night before and my apartment is too small for that so I'm getting dress at a hotel.

I would get ready at the hotel. Think about pictures though. Do you want some at your home after your dressed, or does the house need so much work that you wouldn't want your pics there? Because if the house isn't up to par yet, the GC hotel is gorgeous and would be perfect to take some pics at.
