In all honestly I do not think this is very fair to many of us. None of the prizes that we were 'up' for were near the value of a 43' TV and we are the girls who are loyal to the site. The guys aren't. Shouldn't the TV be a prize for the girls?

But it should NOT be the main attraction prize. Sorry. And I also don't think that the gals who do not bring their DH's should be penalized. The GTG is NOT free so it costs $60 for you and DH/FH to attend. Sorry, I think that the big prizes should be more the brides/newlyweds who contribute daily to the boards.

Michelle, you see what I mean right, us women are like wet food stamps or something, but the men get a TV...no fair, but then again can we really complain? whichever man wins, his lady wins as well.

$60 for two people is not bad for what you're getting. It is probably cheaper than going out to eat somewhere Plus there are chances of winning prizes. That is only an extra for attending the GTG.

throw in a few clowns who make animal shapes with balloons and you can just hand me that prize now

with the GTG costing only $30 it looks like LIWeddings is footing part of the bill.
So, although not free, they do more for us than anyone!

Lordy, why are people complaining about PRIZES?!

$30 seems more than reasonable. If I could make it on a Sunday night, I'd be there with bells on!

Which reminds me...Ron, did you see our suggestion on the LDB post...will there be another prize for one of us? I'm not being greedy, just protecting my prize from others who are coveting it! (I also put in a good word for you, btw. )
