Getaway

Getaway

My FH and I can't take our honeymoon following our wedding because we are both teachers. However, we are looking for a Columbus Day weekend getaway. Any suggestions? We were thinking somewhere we could drive to, perhaps Rhode Island? Anyone know of any cute places to go? Hotel/B and B's suggestions would be great also.
Any info would be much appreciated!

FH and I went to Newport, Rhode Island in June for his cousins wedding. And it was BEAUTIFUL. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway. My only concern is it won't be as warm and it's right on the water. But def look into it.

FH and I always take a trip to Vermont in October - Usually Columbus day weekend because our birthdays are October 11th, and October 12th. We always stay at the same place, and rent a log cabin on the lake. Its very romantic and its a nice getaway. Heres the site if you want any info. Vermont Log Cabin

cape may, nj. they have a bunch of really cute B&Bs there, and since it's pretty south, might still be warm.
