My DH went upstate with his friends to go snowboarding... he left yesterday and he said he might be home tonight (most likely) or tomorrow. He hasn't called me ALL DAY. He knows I am the biggest worry-wart on the face of the planet, and before he left he said he would be conscious of the fact that I'm a worrier and call me as often as he could. Well it's almost 8:00 and still no word from him! I spoke to him late last night, but nothing yet today. I just left a message on his cell phone, and I'm starting to have terrible thoughts of him laying in the snow unconscious somewhere. He's really far upstate (at Gore Mountain, north of Albany) so it's not like it's a short trip home. I am going to be really mad if he just forgot to call me, because he's done that in the past... he forgets. But he promised me this time he would be better about calling... so I'm starting to freak out. God, I hope he's OK. He better call me soon.

I think you have your answer right there! I know it sucks b/c I'm the sane way and I'd kill my DH if he did that, but boys don't remember to call especially when they are having fun. I'm sure everything is fine and that he'll call soon. Just make him feel really bad when he finally does remember
Seriously, I'm sure things are fine. Ther eare a lot of people on the mountain who would notice and help if something's wrong. He's just having the time of his life right now and being a boy. Occupy yourself until he calls and then let him have it LOL

In all likelihood, he doesn't have any cell service and hasn't thought to find a payphone and call collect. I'm with you about worrying though and know how you feel. I'm sure he's fine, but I know it sucks waiting for that phone call.

He probably doesn't have cell phone service where he is. I'm sure he's ok. I don't blame you for worrying though. I would be too. Give him a big hug when he gets home and then kick him in the shins for not calling after.

MEN are all the same....and, if he's with his guy friends, I'm sure it's easier for him to 'forget' to call. Try not to worry, and keep in mind that cell reception is probably not so good in this messy weather. No news is good news - if something (god forbid) bad happened, you'd probably have gotten a call by now. I am sure he is FINE and having a great time w/the guys.
Don't worry!

Re: Getting a little worried...
Well, he just called... and of course, acted like there was NOTHING wrong. I was relieved that he's OK, but once the relief passed, ANGER took over! I was right, you were all right... he just didn't think to call.
Thank you all SO VERY MUCH for your kind words and support. It's hard to make a worry-wart calm down, but the advice you all gave me did just that! I love my LIW ladies, thank you again a million times!
Now you can pray for mercy on HIM once he gets home!!!
