After working for a company for a year what do you think would be a good raise?

Re: Getting a raise
It depends on the company (amount of empolyees, what you do there, how much money the company makes). I would say a good raise is 5% and great raise is 10%.

Re: Getting a raise
Good? 100%. lol.
After a year with my company, I just got 4%, which is the standard (it's not based on merit).
The most I've ever received was 5%.

Re: Getting a raise
Our raises have been capped recently at 3-4% depending on the year (if a promotion had occured it would be larger).

Re: Getting a raise
just to give an idea...
if you started off making say $35,000 i would say that after a year you should be getting some sort of vacation time (a week or so) and maybe $2000-$2500 total added onto your yearly salary...
depends on bonuses and stuff, how the company works... but that was pretty much the way it was at a company i used to work for.

Re: Getting a raise
I'm an HR person and for most companies the average is 3 to 4% so if you get more than that then your working for a good company.

I would say 4% is pretty standard. I got lucky. Hopefully, my luck will continue.
