Getting bummed about Bachelorette party....UPDATE

Well first I was SO excited. My sister got a free room at Bally's plus another one for $79. She has so much planned and it's gonna be awesome.

Now, one never expects everyone to go. But it's starting to s uck right now. You know how there are a core group of people (whether or not they're in your BP) in your life that you just gotta have with you at times like these? Well a whole bunch can't make it!! Some already have plans to be away, and my teacher friends are taking a course that week...



Think I should try to get my sis to change the date or just live with it?

At least BunnyBride (Diane) will definitely be there! But I knew she would.

My sister prefers a smaller group for this, and I understand it is easier...but it just stinks when you have so much fun with certain people and they can't go! I guess if they were in my BP this wouldn't be happening! I chose an all family BP...so getting everyone together naturally is a challenge.



*****UPDATE: Well, I certainly can't complain now! Yes, a couple of good friends can't go and that's a bummer...but my whole school crowd (fellow teachers) is going! Even the girls who had a course that week- they're gonna work around it! I'm so excited! Looks like we'll have a crowd of 10- it is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!! My sister did an amazing job putting this together!

if there were certain friends that I knew I HAD to have there....I probably would try to change the date. I know exactly what you mean, b/c there are certain friends I could not envision having my 'last night out' without them! It's always difficult to try and plan things with a big group, I hope it all works out!!

Your bachelorette party is going to be a great time, so don't worry!
If there's someone very specific that you absolutely want to be there that can't then maybe you should consider changing the date, but don't feel like you have to!

Well I would def inquire about changing the date and if its too difficult...okay. But at least you asked. Its really nice of you to understand that she prefers a small group, but dont forget its YOUR bach party girl!!!!!!!!!

See if you can change the date. It's true that it's often more fun with a small party, but, if there's people you really want to be there, there's nothing wrong with trying to change the date.

But I know how you feel. My shower is going to be pretty small. There was a lot of going back and forth over whether I was going to have one at all, and who was going to throw it, and then once it was getting planned, everyplace was booked. Ended up being only two weeks before the wedding (next Saturday) and a lot of people can't make it. But, the really important people will be there.

I know ho wmuch this must mean to you to have them there My suggestion would be to talk to your sister and see if you can switch the date so that you can have the girls you love there. If worst comes to worst and she cant change it -- it'll still be a blast (I promise -- mine was only 9 people and we had tons of fun!).

Well...if we're gonna do AC, we have to do it this day or not at all. My sister said if I'm disappointed about the turnout we can 'do something else.' But that stinks- this sounds really awesome!

My friend who is taking a course that week doesn't see a problem taking a day off from class (although that would be missing lots of hours or even trying to get the teacher to reschedule)...so she and my other friend might be able to go- I HOPE!! But ya never know...

Thanks girls! I hope it all does work out. I know for sure I'll have fun no matter what! It's just hard when you look forward to particular people being there ya know?

hey tara! i'm going to ac for mine and a few my friends that i thought would be going are not, but i'm just going to focus on the girls that are there and enjoy it! one of bm's will be 7 months prego and another good friend has her wedding anniversary that wekend. i thought about changing it but then i remebered my mantra- 'u can't please all the people all the time:.

very true Tricia...I'm gonna see how it pans out. It's just hard when people you're dying to have there can't be there...but I know I'd still have a great time with those who are there! Thanks!
