ok... So after seeing many unique venues I think I am close to booking. Did you get your venue to agree to the exact menu and pricing before you booked, or did you book and then work on a few little things. I want to add a few additions to the dinner menu. There is an additional charge, but I am hoping they will throw this in. Should I bring this up before I sign a contract?
yes, because they can always take it back...same thing just happened with us, and i had the paper work to prove they threw things in.
YES! When i visited one venue, I specifically asked about an entree that I heard was amaaazzzing, but they no longer have it on the menu. When the BM told me this, after I lost my breath, she wrote it down on the menu and said to make sure I had that with me when we did the final menu, so that it could be added. She also said she would add it to the contract.
YES, definitely talk about all the things you want added to your menu and stuff before booking. This way, they will put that all on the contract and when it is time to talk about your final menu everything is written out already in the contract and their will not be any problems!
