Getting Freinds Ordained

Hi there. Has anyone gotten a family member/friend ordained to perform marriage ceremony. PLease let me know if there are ways to do this and what NY State says about it. Thanks :)

Getting Freinds Ordained

Anyone can be ordained through the Universal Life Church http://www.universallifechurch.org. Unusual... but legal as far as I understand.

there is also the NY society for ethical culture http://www.nysec.org/ or The Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island http://www.ehsli.org/lipc.html these are approved for NYS, but there are some restrictions Check out the NYS Domestic Relations Law Article 3 Section 11...
