The only thing that has bothered me throught htis whole wedding planing is booking my limos. I have no found 1 Co. that im happy with... and the one that I am happy with dont have the cars I need.
I am not a huge fan of the 'Bridal cars' meaning the 'old fashion' antique cars. So I was thinking of going with a very modern car but thats not very 'weddingy' ( im making up my own words) Like the bride is supposed to make a grand entrance and me showing up in a 2007 bmw or mercedes for me, just wouldn't do it. If that was the case why would I pay $ for it and not just use the white 07 car that sits in my driveway. ( not my car my dads)
Sooo all that being said.. Angelo and I decided that we would love the horse and carriage for me to go to church and then from the church to the hall we would have an 'old fashion car' to take us. We have no idea what the pirces would be ...its just an idea at this point. But i dunno what to do with the wedding nbeing in Nov who knows what this crazy weather will be like.... i dunno what to do.. should I risk it?
SOrry so long.. i just needed to vent cuz this is tha only part of the wedding planning that is getting on my nerves.

AWw Penny, I dont think ive EVER seen you not jolly and sweet and happy!
It IS a bit risky with the weather.
My only concern would be horse smells... what if it poops?
But if you LOVE the idea, go for it and have an alternative in case the weather is crappy.

My sister had a horse and carriage for her wedding four years ago. I think it ran her around $800. Our house was about a mile from the church. FM me if you'd like to me to get you the name of who she used. I can ask her for you! HTH!!

My SIL used a horse and carriage for her wedding last year. It was beautiful, I think it ran her about $1000-$1200. It did look beautiful though when we watched her wedding video, that is def. a way to make a grand entrance!!!

I wanted the horse and carriage, simply because of our theme! And for them to ride 4 blocks from my home to the church was almost 2K. Sorry Charile, wasn't happening. We basicly went traditinal, and tha'st not a bad thing either. Sorry your frustrated, but we all go through it.

Penny I'm using US Limo and they have been really great and accomodating. Like you, the grand entrance was not a big deal for us bc we are getting married at the RH. We are only getting 2 white stretch lincolns. If we didn't have a large bridal party I would tell everyone to make there way to the RH on there own.
Any how, I recommed giving Kathie at US a call. She is super sweet and they do have a wide range of cars to choose from. I don't think they have carriages though. IMO Penny, I wouldn't go with the carriage in November. There is a chance it could be cold and rainy.
FM me if you want more info

Honeslty im frustrated more cuz its so hard to find what we are looking for all in one place...and the fact that i think that for 10 block they charge insane prices. Im sure u know what i mean. So i figure if they are gonan charge me I might as well make it somthing worthwhile... ya know?!

I know.. the weather is whats keeping me.. but the truth is that the way things have been there is not way of telling what the weather will be in any month. If u remember i had a 6/24 e-party it it boyond poured that day. just my luck though So I was kinda hoping that we could find a place that has both craaiges and limos so that just incase it rains we would just have the antique and cancel the horse.. but who knows. ill pro just settle for the basics and that will solve it all on my end but I dont think Ang. will be happy. We will find a happy medium somewhere at somepoint ...I hope

My sister had a horse and carraige too - my parents surprised her the day of - it makes reallly nice pictures.
I would do it if I were you - maybe you can buy a small white jacket (fur if you like) to wear while your on the horse in case its a little cold

I think a Horse and Carriage ride would be great!!! i saw that idea in a bridal magazine but have never actually seen it done. So it would make your wedding unique if you did so
