getting guest list together

ok..i hope i can do this without confusing you gals..but i have a question when it comes to writing out the guest list

ok here we go lol

for example..lets say if i write down my cousin and his wife...knowing that they have kids do i include them as well or do i let him jot them down as guests on the rsvp..im trying to get a count and i know my oot guest are more then likely gonna bring there kids..events like these become mini family reunions in my family so i dont expect the oot guest to leave there kids at home..we dont get to see each other often...

also..if i do include them since plane tickets arent bought yet there isnt a garuntee that they'll bring their kids (may be too expensive) so my question is do I or do i not put them down on the list of invites

I hope i didnt make this anymore complicated then needed im just trying to figure out approx how many guest i will be inviting..thanks for the help gals

Re: getting guest list together

we decided no kids so we didn't put them on the guest list and we didn't include them on the invitations. If the kids are invited then you should factor them into the guest list and put their names (ok maybe just something like the smith family, not their actual names) on the invitations

if you plan on including the kids, put the kids on the guest list with their parents.
on the invite the kids names can go on the inside envelope if you have one, otherwise you can address the invite to the 'Smith' Family

You want to include the kids so that you know the amount of people you are inviting. It gets it all down in front of you so that when you make the count in your head you don't forget to add them.

i keep forgetting to include the kids in our bridal party on the guest list so i keep getting the wrong count.
it's just helpful to put them all down on there.

I wuold keep them added in the guest list until they RSVP 'no'. Just so your #s are more accurate. As other's said. I would address it to the '______' Family.
