I am having gum surgery tomorrow and I am a little anxious and I cant wait for it to be done and over with.......I hope it doesn't hurt that much and my mouth doesn't swell like a balloon!!!!!!!!!!

dont worry i work with a periodontist and its not that bad...just relax and take it easy after the surgery

OH NO! I JUST had gum surgery last week. I had some bone loss in my gums so they did a bone graft. It was painful the first day but I iced the area on and off and that seemed to help the swelling. After that it's just a pain because you have to be on a soft diet for a couple of days. GL and stay calm

Just had the surgery and it wasnt that bad. The had to renumb me 3x so I pretty much didnt feel it. They gave me some drugs but nothing good. Now I wait and go back in 2 weeks.
I cannot wait for my new smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am super scared of oral surgery ever since I passed out for a minute after coming off of novacaine. . .had two cavities in 2005? I think it was. I had to leave my car in Valley Stream overnight. . .somebody had to drive me down there the next morning before work!!!
So it really isn't that bad? Because I'm trying to figure out whether or not to schedule my wisdom teeth surgery for before or after the wedding, and I really can't take days off of work to do it between now and June.

TO be honest schedule it after the wedding unless you can recover for 2 weeks cause your mouth looks wrecked after and you will feel like crap after. The dentist I am going to is AWESOME but still I dont want to open my mouth and show my gums since I have stitches.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I had gum surgery a couple of years ago - you'll feel so much better once the stitches come out.
Just don't do what I did - I 'forgot' one morning while getting ready for work and started to brush my teeth - it was the worst pain I've ever felt!! OUCH!!!!
