getting married

as much as I love FH and can't wait to live with him and all those other great reasons... that isnt the only reason I want to get married............

i secretly want to get married.....

because when we get married we will have our OWN place... I will finally be able to have a place to put my STUFF!!!! It is really hard being 27 and having 27 years worth of crap in 1 darn room!!!!!

.. just had to let that out.. because my room is a mess and i have no where to put anything anymore!!! Plus I'm a teacher so i have teacher crap everywhere too... markers, chart paper, books.... etc.....

but I really want to get married because I love FH soooo much and i only see him fri, sat, sun.. plus I get the best sleep when he is around... all i need is to spoon and its instant lights out..

I know what you mean..... I love to spoon with FH as well. It's just so darn comfy in his arms

I understand EXACTLY what you mean. My FH is just a big teddy bear so its like sleeping with a human body pillow when he is around.

The living @ home thing is even worse for me b/c we lived together for 4 years in VA after I finished college. When I decided to move to NY to find a job in my field, I moved back w/ my parents and he moved to Philly w/ his brother.

It's hard to get used to sleeping alone

i wanted to hold out to move in when i get married but i had to move in earlier for similar reasons. I was sharing a room at the age of 24 i had a lot of work to be done going into my final year of college, i never got to see FH bc our schedules were off.


so i moved out and in with him in january!

it is absolutely great and i know how you feel.

me too.... i miss him so much, and i feel like there is never enought time on sat and sun to be happy that i have seen him.

i just cant wait already!!

Don't worry, when you get your own place then you just have places for more crap!!! I now have 4 rooms full of crap instead of that 1 room I used to have!

As for the sleeping thing, I have been living with FH for over a year now. As soon as he puts his arm around me I am sleeping. I am safe and warm and it's the only place I want to be.

We both travel for work and I hate when he's not around, I cant fall asleep!!

like last nite he was cute! i was falling asleep on the couch and i was like im gonna just go to bed..

he was watchin the end of the yanks game and i said do u want to come in so i can fall asleep and hes like sure (he wasnt tired)

so then we layed there and he was like..ahh im tired now so ill just stay in here with u! im like Awww thanks and 5 minutes i was out!

Gina I know exactly what you mean!!!!!!!!! I have crap all over my parents house!!!! When my brother got married I took over all of the drawers and closet space in his old room...right now his room is my walk-in closet. He gets so mad when he comes over

I am excited to get married because it means we are moving and we NEED more space! Right now we have 1 bd/1 bath and we are squeezed for space.

If we hadn't gotten engaged I don't think we would have decided to buy somewhere together and then we would be stuck in our tiny apt forever

well it is nice to know that you all feel the same way.

I really need space for my stuff!!

But worse is the lack of time i get to spend with FH. our parents are really good about him sleeping by me or me sleep ing by him, but we usually dont because its such a pain and i have to get things done in the Am and all MY STUFF is at my house.

We really cherish our vacations.. its so nice being with him every night and every morning!!!!!


Does anyone have this problem...

do to the lack of time you get to spend with FH, do you neglect going out with friends?

We ahve gotten so bad with this that if its an activity that will keep us out late, we wont want to go because then we dont get that snuggle time before one of us has to leave!

It will definitely be nice to be in the same space as FH... after him being in school for oh so many years and doing the long distance thing, for him not to wake up at 2am Monday morning to drive to Boston will be awesome.

It is true, because our alone time is rare, we don't really socialize together on weekends because we'd rather just be with each other. I am more social during the week (when I don't have him to come home to), so I get it out of my system that way, but sometimes I wish we got to do more things as a couple with other couple friends...

and i agree.. he moved in with me after we got engaged.. i love it, but its a studio..a basement studio, so its cramped.. I cant wait to have windows to look out of while I cook
