GETTING MARRIED 5-05 and...

I need to know when is a good time to start looking for dress and photographers...please advise.. thank you..
i hope you all had a nice weekend snow bound with your hunny's..

you can start looking as soon as you want to!
i booked a lot of stuff right away sot hat i didn't have to worry abou it....and now that i'm 4 months away - i'm glad i did!

I was CRAZY and did everything so early, But if I were you I would start looking now so that at least when the time comes you will know what you want. I think now is a good time to start looking (and keep in mind that vendor prices normally go up after the new year.

Start looking as soon as you want & don't let anyone make you think it's too early. As long as you & your FH are comfortable with your decision, it's no one elses business. And while you may find the gown of your dreams on your first shopping expedeition (like my daughter did), you may go out many times before you find one you love. Also, it took her several months to find the photographer she booked. So if you start planning early, you won't be under the pressure of having to make last minute decisions.

It is good to look, but I wouldn't buy anything so early. As you see more stuff and time goes by, you will change your mind about stuff. Remember, you will be stuck with whatever you select for over a year. Be sure that you really like it. You also want to enjoy the planning. If you do it all at once, you'll have nothing to last the time of the engagement.

I don't think it's tacky to have any color you like at any time, it is your wedding after all. That being said I am having red and dark red much to the chagrin of some of my BM's. And I would start looking now, I ordered my dress in April/May and it just came in.
