Question.... so I moved the time of my wedding and now the ceremony is going to be at night and it's going to be dark out. I don't like where the Woodlands does their ceremonies indoors so we were thinking of hiring someone to do lighting so we can still hold it outside. I don't think it'll be too cold out... it's the begining of October and it'll be 20 minutes so I think it'll be fine (as long as it's not raining of couse) What do you think?
Yay or Nay?

tough call.. it could be chilly when the sun goes down. if you're not worried about that, then go for it.

Kayla, you know I love your green wrap. It saved me quite a few times last weekend....
C-lloooover I say my guests can freeze... orrrrr they can get wasted on 'welcome/hospitality champagne' or whatever the hellll the Woodlands calls it and then they won't even notice the cold.

Or I can rent heaters... which might be ridiculous for a 20 minute ceremony.

I think you will be fine! It will be awesome with lighting outside. You can also maybe rent those heat lamps that they have ... Not sure how expensive they are but you may only need a few ... I doubt you will even need them though. The beginning of Oct is usually really nice!

i vote nay. weather can be hard to predict. ppl usually linger after the ceremony and being inside makes it cozier than being outside at that hour.

why are you planning on having the ceremony later? it might be a bit coolder since the sun's down and it is fall - but your guests can freeze!

Re: Getting married at night - outside...
really? We got to choose what time ours was for the evening. We decided 6:30 rather than what they offered between 5-730. I guess perhaps there might be another wedding or event before yours? Since it's on a Saturday? You okay w/ 730? You can have illuamaries that would look beautiful afterward? We're planning to do that, I purchased about 125 of the bags and with the tealights and have the sand.

go for it! If it is a cold day you can always move your wedding inside.
