We get 1 or 2 bridal attendants through our hall (don't remember which).
Do we need a DOC? Our guest list recently doubled and now there is a lot more stuff that has to be set up, favors, place cards, etc.
Is it worth it or can the hall do all that stuff for us without us worrying that it'll be set up right?
FH insists it would be a waste of money, but I'm not sure.

Re: Getting married at RH. Do we need a DOC?
I really am only considering it because we are getting married at the church and then moving to the reception hall.
If I were getting married at the RH, I probably wouldn't.
That being said, it's not really in my budget to begin with.
If you have the extra money and really want to, I'd do it for the piece of mind.
...yes I am completely aware that that was of no help whatsoever. Sorry and GL!

I’m only having one b/c we’re doing photos before the ceremony and the ceremony is at church and then reception is at the hall. If there wasn’t that much movement before I ever even meet my bridal attendant, I wouldn’t get a DOC. But for our situation I think it’s necessary.
I’ve met with a bunch of them that are really affordable. I booked Ryan from Above and Beyond (she was $600 for 10 hours – and she gives an LIW discount b/c she’s a preferred vendor on this site).
I also met with Cindy from Cynthia Ross Affairs and she was $450 for 10 hours (w/ an assistant, and she attends your rehearsal).
I met with a few who were very expensive but I liked them both (just can’t afford them) – Francesca from Dazzling Affairs ($950) and Diane Lea from A Cherished Affair ($1250).
I’ve heard that Fairytale Events (Chrissi Mordhorst) is in that $550-650 price range as well and there are a couple of other newer companies – A Modern Day Affair (find them on facebook) and Piece of Cake Events (also on facebook) that are running specials as low as $300. Check them out!

I think it's worth it. It's your wedding day and the last think you want to think about is if things are being done the same way you envisioned it. I'm on a tight budget but to be stress free on my wedding day is priceless. I booked with Christine from Piece of Cake and she is currently running a sale.

Re: Getting married at RH. Do we need a DOC?
I'm just wondering the same thing. I am going with Christine of Fairy Tale Events, but I have a Matr'd and two bridal attendants and I'm so torn if I send this contract and check out right now. My gut is saying to do it. I don't want to stress out!

i think if you are extremely organized prior it def. should be fine. go to all final meetings with list of things you want and stuff like that- I get 2 Bridal attendants so im 99.9 percent sure you do to!

Re: Getting married at RH. Do we need a DOC?
I also am getting married at the RH, and I just recently booked my DOC. It was reasonably priced, and it gives me peace of mind. I am extremely organized, but it is nice to know that I wont have to worry about all the little things on my wedding day, and neither will my BP. I booked with Ryan from Above and Beyond, she is great!
