Getting Married at RH Taking Some Pics After Ceremony

Ok. I know that title was long but it pretty much explains it. I need advice from ladies who have gotten married at the RH and taken some pics AFTER the ceremony.

I will be taking getting ready pics, pics with my BMs, some pics with my family, and FH will take pics with his GMs and some with his family BEFORE ceremony.

I would like to take the pics of just the two of us AFTER the ceremony, bc I really want the first time that he sees me to be when I am walking down the aisle.

The problem is that the CH starts right after the ceremony bc we're getting married at the RH. We can push the ceremony up a 1/2 hour and have 1 1/2 CH. Do you think we should? We don't necessarily need to attend CH.

Advice please.

we saw each other before the wedding.. and took pics and then during cocktail as well (had two different outfits) and then at the end of the night, we went to gantry park to take pics of the manhattan skyline.. so it worked out..

eta: just realized you will be getting married on my two year anniversary!!

we did the same thing, I ended up taking pictures with family during the CH. Its up to you if you need the 1.5 hours to take pictures but I think we did well with one hour and we were very organized.

We didnt want to see eachother before the ceremony so my photog took all the pic with family and bridal parties separately before the ceremony. Then Dh and I took our pics during salad at the reception. It didnt take up too much time at all. We were back in time for the next course

Im doing my pics after the ceremony only bc i want a pic of fh face as i walk down the aisle. I did an hour and a half cocktail hour so i wouldnt miss alot. I think the guests will enjoys it too. It wasnt really that much extra and i added it months after i booked. I also told our bridal part to be ready for pics right afterwards so that it will only take 15-20 min. HTH

That is exactly what I am thinking of doing. I am only concerned that it won't be enough time.

i know you are set on seeing him for the first time walking down the aisle
but your photo guy and rh coordinator will coordinate a first time meeting before the ceremony for pics
also - i really like the idea to take all the pics before and then after the ceremony you can just relax and be with eachother for a little and then join the cockatail hour

also - i think if you take pics before and then have a half an hour or so to relax before the ceremony, when you walk down the aisle i think you and your fh will have the same feeling as if it was the first time seeing eachother

that is just my opinion

you can have an extended cocktail hour - 1hr 20min or so????/
