So i'm doing a day wedding, starting at 11 and ending at 4. I'm getting married at the hall. I'm super confused on what to do for transportation. Ideally I'd like to have some time to relax at the hall from 9-10am, but do you think it is pushing it to ask the BP to be ready so early? Really, they will have additional time to get dressed and finish up at the hall. I was thinking of doing one limo at 845am to bring the girls and then come back for the guys.
Also, I have no idea how to get home. I don't want to get into the car with my wedding dress!

I am also getting married at the hall. Your start time is a little earlier than me, but it can be done. Most limo companies have a limit of 3 hrs rental. So i booked a 3 hour rental, with one car, which is picking up the guys first...taking them to the hall...and coming to pick up the girls after and take us to the hall...each trip is about 20-30 minutes which fufills the 3 hour minimum. If you want to get there early, that means the guys have to get there SUPER early. And then our company threw in a car to take us home. Some comapnies throw in a regular town car, and some a 10 passenger limo if that is all that they have like mine.

I'm running into the same problem. Fh wants to get dressed at his house in W. Islip and I'm getting dresses at my parents house probably in Seaford.
We are doing pictures at Old Westbury Gardens before so I don't think 1 limo would work for us.
We might do 2 seperate limos to pick up each bridal party, take us to our picture site then take us seperate to my rh.
Gahhhhhh!!!!

My brother and SIL were married at the hall as well. They had 2 limos in the morning, one took the guys to the hall and one took the gals to the hall. Then after the reception they ordered one large SUV limo to take them and the bridal party back.

Yea you can do that too....but make sure you ask about transportation home. Like I said most places include. We arent doing pictures before (don't want to see each other) so one works for us. And the limo back to the hotel is only for us, not the whole bridal party.

Re: Getting married at the hall
We are blocking rooms at the hotel right next door so we don't need transportation home. If I get car service home w/ my package I'll give it to my Grandparent's.

I am getting married at the hall too. I am getting hair & mu done at the hotel with my bridal party, then traveling to the hall. Since we are getting to the hall so early, I'm just going to use a shuttle to get to the hall & FH is driving us when we leave. Our ceremony is at 11:30 - and here is my time line (i think)
8:30 - 1st shuttle pick up girls from hotel 8:45ish - 2nd shuttle pick up guys from hotel 9 am - girls arrive at hall 9:15 - boys arrive at hall 9 - 11 - pictures (we are seeing each other before the ceremony)

Re: Getting married at the hall
Thanks, girls. So do you think a limo is necessary? I do like the idea of the one limo leaving and then coming back and then a big SUV to bring everyone home. The issue is that it is so early and forcing everyone to be ready early but ideally they should have hair and make done by 8:45am and then we will have some time to relax, get dressed, etc from 9:15am-10am. I just gotta think it all through. It’s just the logistics of it all that are killing me. I’ve been agonizing over an itinerary for the day for about a week now and still have nothing!!!!

Re: Getting married at the hall
Don't stress over it. It is your day so you make your itineary the way it works best for you. My bestfriend is getting married this Saturday and I'm a bridesmaid and she wants me at her house in holbrook at 7am in the morning. Her ceremony isn't until 1pm but I'm getting my hair done and she wants plenty of time to get ready and take pictures. She emailed the bridal party her itineary earlier this week and there have been no complaints. honestly it is for one day if people can't wake up early and do what has to be done for you then they aren't being fair to you.. Sorry but at first I felt the same as you b/c my ceremeony is at 11:30am on a Sunday and was worried about evryone getting up early and getting ready and being ready. I have finally come to my senses and realized if they are my good friends they will be there for me and do whatever I ask of them. IT's only for one day..

I would not stress over that at all...thats really not early if you think about it and plus you want time that day to relax and get ready and not get ready in a hurry ...and with the limo on getting home or where ever you go just ask them that its really important to you and the FH that you have a ride home ...they might just do the limo that u r using ..( b/c you dont want to get into a car) I dont blame you..im the same way...

Re: Getting married at the hall
I am staying at a hotel by the CH and I am NOT paying for a limo to pick me up-- I am hopping on the shuttle to get there and back--it's not worth the $ to me to pay for a 10 min drive!!!!!!!!!!
