Okay. I've decided to get married in Mexico, Cancun or Riviera Maya.
My top choices are:
Aventura Spa Palace(the best wedding package) Moon Palace (if we have kids coming) Dreams Cancun Riu Palace Las Americas Riu Palace Riviera Maya
Has anyone stayed in these resorts? Can anyone give me any recommendations or opinions? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
We are going to stay for4-5 nights and then go on our honeymoon, either Italy or Costa Rica. We haven't decided yet.

So far Aventura is in the lead I think I like this one the best too. It has a great wedding package but I heard that it doesn't really have a beach, just a lagoon I also heard Dreams is great. The wedding gazebo is on the point on a cliff overlooking the ocean and it's walking distance to the Cancun clubs and party zone. Ugggh, tough choice!

We went to Aventura on our honeymoon and it was amazing! We saw ppl getting married there and I told my DH if we had it all to do over again that I would definitely get married at Aventura!

We aren't the partying type either which is why ASP is great- it's 45 mins south of cancun so you're away from the party area. It's nice and quiet where you are.

I might want to go out to party once with everyone while I'm there. I just don't want my guests to get bored. I want them to be able to go out if they want to. Did you do any of the tours they provide? How were they?

Re: Getting Married in Mexico, help pick a resort
Believe me I doubt they'll be bored. There's a spa there and all inclusive alcohol, several restaurants, polls on both sides of the resort... Also, there are several tours and other things to do. And as a guest you can visit any of the other Palace resorts and use your all inclusive bracelets there for food, drinks and use of their resorts. I went to the Xpu Ha resort and went snorkeling on both the mangrove side and the open water side. We went the visit Tulum and saw all of the Mayan Ruins. We also went to Isla Muharjes (the island of the women) and spent the day over there which included snorkeling or a boat tour around the island (which you stopped and saw sea turtles and dolphins) and then had lunch before you left. Oh, and you took a party boat over which was hysterical b/c there were a crew of men and they dressed up like women for different parts of the trip and sang and danced w/ the guests.... it was really funny! On a different day we took a trip over to Cozumel which I highly recommend also. It was so beautiful! I told my DH if we ever went back I'd love to stay there and go snorkeling/scuba diving. We went snorkeling then and saw so many things. Hope this helps!

When I went to Cancun I stayed at Cancun Palace and its owned by the same people as Moon Palace. We loved it sooo much!! Service was great and the food was amazing!! Plus, you get to eat at and use the facilities at any of the 'Palace' resorts in Cancun for free!!

Is this going to be a privatte wedding or are you having guests? If you are having guests and kids are invitd make sure you have an all ages friendly resort- otherwise, that doesn't matter.

Re: Getting Married in Mexico, help pick a resort
Sorry, never stayed at any of the above hotels...but did you look into Golden Crown Parnassus? It is a small (300 rooms) adults only hotel. It has a brand new sister hotel (which is a lot larger) the Grand Parnassus. Both are AI. Golden Crown guests can use the Grand's facilities and restaurants. I find the Golden to be so nice because it is small, quiet, and no kids running around the pool!! Check it out. It is in the top 10 hotels in cancun...service is outstanding... and ive been there many times. Im going back this may, for a full week im paying 1300 pp including EVERYTHING and a suite upgrade. Let me know if you want more info!

Thanks everyone! We might have 2 kids, my sister isn't sure if she's bringing them yet. If she decides to bring them then we will stat at the Moon Palace. I believe they are kid friendly. I hope she doesn't because I want to stay at Adventura Spa Palace. Thanks for the suggestion about the Golden Crown and Parnassus. I'll check them out
