Getting my wisdom teeth pulled tomorow

I am so nervous! Has anybody had this done before?? What can I expect? Is it gonna be horrible?

((They are pulling the two on my left side))

didnt have my wisdom teeth pulled, but i had a random molar pulled last july

it wasn't pretty, but all in all i'd say it was ok. just took two days to rest. i had an adverse reaction to the pain killers bc i had never taken them before so just be careful with that. everyone is differnet.

i had 3 of them pulled at 3 different times. it wasn't bad b/c i was knocked out. i heard getting all 4 is a bit painful and you'll look like you have a swollen face but ppl say there are worse pains. good luck and i hope it doesn't hurt so much for you!

I had two done at once too....

My advice would be to take the painkillers as soon as you get them (prob vicodan?) Don't wait until the numbing stuff wears off and you're in pain. I did that and I regretted it big time!

Also ice your face...it made the swelling go down a lot faster!

i had my two top wisdom teeth pulled... wasn't so bad. i was pretty drugged up

Omg i got all four of mine take out. I was totally put under. It was bad and wasnt. All i have to say is that take the pain meds as soon as you get them. Dont wait for the numbness to go away cause it will take a bit for the meds to work. Also ice it 15 on and 15 off. Dont drink out of a straw and eat soft foods like jello, ice cream, soup for a couple of days. If need anything else let me know. I hope you do well.

I had all four pulled a few years ago. Its not that bad- I started eating solid foods after 3 days. I got one small bruise on the bottom on my jaw that lasted a few days- not bad at all! I slept about 30 hours but I think that was just a reaction to the drugs

I had all 4 taken out. One of them was very hard to take off so they had to really dig in, after the pain medice was gone I was screaming. Take some medicine pain before you go and put a lot of ice on your cheecks after.

I had 2 at a time pulled when I was 14 and it really wasnt the nightmare I was expecting. All of my teeth were impacted but coming through the gum at the same time.
The advice to take the drugs when you get home is good. Honestly, I think I was eating solid foods within 2 days or so and the pain wasn't too awful. I was also put under. Are you having local or general anesthesia? I think the people that stay awake are nuts!

Thanks for all of your responses girls!!

They are going to knock me out during the procedure so I won't even know whats going on hopefully lol...and I will def take the pain meds right away...

ugh pray that its not to bad for me

Just take it easy, eat ice cream, and take the drugs if you need to!

I was put under too and got all four out at once. I was a long time ago so i dont remember much

I had all 4 done at once back in January. I was super nervous about it, being my first surgery ever ... I woke up after, and could not believe it was already done! The dr gave me percocets, I never had to finish the prescription (and I have a very low pain threshold). Don't worry, you will be fine!

I was eating soft solids that night! The drugs must have been real good!

Ps- mine were badly impacted. One was infected, they had to dig and break it into pieces to get it out.

Aww Michelle don't be nervous I had all 4 pulled at once and I was fine..lol I'm the biggest baby so if I can do that you will be fine

I know the feeling. I had two pulled out and it actually went well since I was put under local anesthesia. I also had another tooth that had to come out. So it was alot for me to handle without anything. I had pain medication and that helped alot for the pain.
