getting nervous about hair and makeup

i have not yet booked anyone for hair and makeup and i'm getting worried.

we are getting married the sunday before memorial day. i'm worried that everyone will either be booked, or want that day off to go to bbqs and stuff.

the girl i originally wanted is the girl who cuts my hair...but i haven't been to her in forever. she said she would do it on her own so i dont have to go through the salon and pay extra. my mom goes to her too and got her cell phone number so i could call her, but i left a message a few weeks ago and haven't heard back yet.

i sent a message to one vendor on here but she's already booked that day. i'm getting really upset. why did i wait so long?!

Jeannette, do not get crazy. Just like there are a million great photographers and a million excellent florists, there are a million excellent hair and makeup people. And don't worry if they are not a vendor on this site. Remember, not all vendors are part of liweddings so there are a ton out there to be found. Good luck and I know you will find someone wonderful

i would go with your salon - keep bugging her! or else you can always try craigs list. you'll definitely find someone!

I feel you Jeanette. I JUST booked my m/u artist but am gonna cancel her.

I am in your boat too. I've called non-LIW recommended vendors and so many are booked. And I'm on a Friday - you'd think I have a better shot.

I can give you names of people I've called (non-LIW vendors)... Let me know. Good luck!

I just want to say - it's OK to get crazy. Jessica's telling you not too b/c she's probably already booked! (sticks tongue out).

You want to go for trials and everything too and you can only do that on weekends. So you have less time than you think. Start calling and scheduling. If you want help, let me know. I'll call for you too!
