We expected to get a lot of regrets because we have many people out of state. So, we went ahead and assumed that they wouldn't come and invited other local people. Now, we are getting regrets from local people.
We should have done Save the Dates...

Don't sweat it too much....... you'll probably get yes responses from people you didn't think would come so it will compensate for it.

i agree i get a lot of yes answers from people i thought wouldnt come. i think it would even out. do you have a B List

There will always be people who can't make it - even if you did STDs. Maybe there are some others you can invite if you need to make a minimum. You will have a wonderful wedding no matter what!

even if you do send STD's you'll still get the same regrets. we had one couple tell us they had scheduled a vacation, which they did AFTER they got the STD.
