Re: getting responses......
They are his friends, that's hwy it's no a big deal to him. I find it to be RUDE to ask to bring someone if you wee not invited with any1 but if he thinks it's no problem try to ignore I, eventhough its hard to, but try to not let it stress you!

Re: getting responses......
I would call and tell them that they were not invited with a guest and you are sorry but you have planned it that way so they cannot bring someone....
Everything works out!

Re: getting responses......
He needs to tell them that unfortunately they cannot bring a guest, as the invite didn't say 'plus guest' therefore they can't reply with 'plus two.' You guys already over invited and you've been worried about it since before your invitations arrived. You need to talk to Cem about it fast! Tell him that the hall will not allow you to exceed the maximum amount of people in the room due to the fire marshall's rule. You don't want guests replying with a yes and then telling them right before the wedding when you give the hall your final number, that they can't come b/c you over exceeded your maximum number. We've been going over this topic for months Fru

Re: getting responses......
so frustrating! I think every bride has to deal with this kind of rudeness! Maybe you could have your MOH or FH call and politely let them know that there is only 1 seat reserved for them at the reception.

Ugh...I feel for you hun. Theres no easy way to handle this and it always seems to s u c k. You're in the right here -- its incredibly RUDE for people to respond with a guest if they werent invited with one. And they arent stupid or naive...they KNOW they werent invited with one. Its not a simple mistake, its almost always done purposely.
If it were me (and I'm sure I'll have to do this too) I'd call them and let them know that you recieved their response card and noticed they replied for them and a guest. Tell them that you are sorry, but you were not able to invite them with a guest because you are already over your guest limit. If they give you a hard time...well...then just dont come
Good luck!

Re: getting responses......
People can be so rude. Some of my guests have already asked if they can bring a date. FH decided to invite many friends from college so they will be unable to bring dates and they are already complaining. I mean give me a break, if you do not want to come alone then don't come.

I agree. Im sorry you are dealing with this. But a wedding will never be a wedding without this happening...

Re: getting responses......
Remember this is only my opinion: I feel bad for the guests that won't know anyone there, so we decided that only BP Siblings and ppl in serious relationships can bring a guest, unless there is an odd person from work or something that they wouldn't know anyone there. You can use these few guests as your invisible guests. Leave room for them at the table but don't include them in your final number. Because of poss. no-shows. My aunt gave me this idea. We are leaving 6-10 ppl off the list the RH will always let you add but not subtract! It is extremly rude though, but try to make lemonade!

Its so rude to call and ask if you can bring a guest. We didnt invite everyone with a guest...if we didnt know your s/o or you hadnt been with anyone that long you were invited ALONE! Period and we arent giving in

Definitely let them know that you don't want this and if you wanted them to bring a guest, you would have put it on the invitation...Can they read??
