Getting Sleep the night before! I know I won't get any!

Original post by JamDancer

I usually don't have trouble sleeping, except when I'm REALLY excited about something. The night before our epics I could not fall asleep, and it definitely shows in our pics- my eyes are puffy!

I know I'm not going to sleep the night before the wedding. Ugh. I want to take something OTC..... not sure about Nyquil or Tylenol PM or something bc those inhibit REM sleep and actually can make you feel more tired the next day...

Any suggestions? Does anyone else think this will be an issue?

Honetsly, I am the same way! I get sooo excited and I cant sleep, but my wedding was not an issue at all! i ended up being soooo tired because the 2 weeks before were brutal on me with stress, as I am sure they are with everyone! But I ended up not sleeping the night before the night before my wedding ( not sure if that makes sense). In other words, my wedding was a saturday night, I didnt sleep on Thursday night. I stayed up hanging with friends and doing last minute projects so by the time Friday night came I was soooo good to sleep hehe

i second that... do not take meds i dont think...

I have taken Tylenol PM and have slept like 9 or 10 hours just make sure you sleep alot of hours or else you will feel groggy.

I had an rx for Ambien CR from a few months before the wedding. I specifically saved a few for the wedding week, cause i knew i would not be able to sleep. I took a half of a 12.5 mg Ambien at around 9:30pm, and slept like a baby the entire night through and felt wonderful and rested on my wedding day. I cannot stress how important it was to me to be well rested, and this was a sure guarantee.
